Taliban Unveils ISIS Fighter’s Confession

The Afghan Taliban have unveiled a video in which an ISIS fighter from Pakistan confesses, revealing connections to cross-border recruitment, terror training, and infiltration routes allegedly associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The video, disclosed by a channel affiliated with the Taliban’s intelligence agency, showcases Saeedullah, a Pakistani national from Plarman village in Mohmand Agency. Saeedullah narrates his radicalization and training in terror camps before crossing into Afghanistan to operate with ISIS-K.

“I was enrolled in a madrasa in Peshawar near the Tablighi Centre. The madrasa had ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba,” admits Saeedullah in the video, disclosing individuals responsible for ideological indoctrination and training.

He asserts that Osama provided ideological guidance while he received weapons and combat training in the mountains near Quetta, Balochistan. Upon finishing the training, Saeedullah returned to Peshawar. However, months later, an operative named Nusrat coerced him to join the ISIS faction in Afghanistan.

“When I declined, Nusrat forged an Afghan Tazkira (identity document) and sent me to Afghanistan under the guise of a refugee,” reveals Saeedullah. “I crossed through Torkham, arrived in Jalalabad, and was handed over to masked men who identified me as ‘our brother from Pakistan.'”

The detained militant also recounted collaborating with approximately 20 foreign fighters in Afghanistan before expressing regret and pledging allegiance to the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate.
