“Massive Fire Engulfs Shoe Factory in Delhi’s Narela Zone”

A significant fire erupted at a shoe manufacturing facility in the Narela DSIIDC Industrial Area, Outer Delhi, causing extensive damage to the property on Monday. The entire four-story building was engulfed in flames and reduced to ashes, as confirmed by officials.

Firefighters from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) rushed sixteen fire tenders to the scene and battled the blaze for hours. Despite their relentless efforts, the factory was completely destroyed, resulting in the loss of goods worth several lakhs in the fire.

Authorities have stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and as of now, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

This incident marks the second major fire event in recent times in the Narela industrial zone. In a previous incident last week, a fire broke out at a cardboard manufacturing factory in the Bhorgarh Industrial Area Phase 2 of Narela. The DFS promptly deployed 26 fire tenders to contain that fire. Fire Officer SK Dua confirmed the control of the fire without any reported injuries in that incident.

In a separate case, a significant fire destroyed around 45 shanties in the Bengali Basti area of Shahbad Daulatpur on August 31. Police responded to the blaze at the Shahbad Dairy police station, and with the assistance of fire tenders, managed to bring the fire under control.

Authorities are currently conducting investigations to ascertain the reasons behind the repeated fire incidents in Delhi’s industrial and residential clusters.
