iQOO has joined the 2025 flagship competition by launching the iQOO 15 in India. This places iQOO in direct competition with other recently released flagships like the OnePlus 15 and the Realme GT 8 Pro. These three phones boast top-tier specifications and are priced similarly, which can be overwhelming for consumers in the market for a flagship Android device.
While OnePlus previously stood out with its Hasselblad cameras, Realme has partnered with Ricoh for its latest offering. On the other hand, iQOO is known for its focus on gaming. The OnePlus 15 features a 165Hz display tailored for gaming enthusiasts.
To simplify the decision-making process, let’s compare the iQOO 15 with the OnePlus 15 and the Realme GT 8 Pro across various aspects such as features, design, and key distinctions.
Design-wise, each phone offers a distinct approach. The iQOO 15 retains a familiar design with minor refinements, including an updated camera module with RGB lighting and a flat frame. In contrast, the OnePlus 15 has undergone a significant design overhaul, opting for a sleek square camera cutout instead of its previous large circular design. The Realme GT 8 Pro stands out with its swappable camera module, allowing users to alter the phone’s appearance and the shape of the camera module, although this design choice may divide opinions.
Performance is a shared strength among the three devices, all powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While the iQOO 15 features a dedicated Q3 gaming chip for improved gaming performance, the Realme GT 8 Pro includes the R1 gaming chip and a Hyper Vision AI chip for AI capabilities. The OnePlus 15 goes a step further with the OnePlus Performance Tri-Chip, promising enhanced gameplay, connectivity, and visual smoothness.
In terms of display, the Realme GT 8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 6,000 nits peak brightness. The OnePlus 15 opts for a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a faster 165Hz refresh rate, while the iQOO 15 introduces a 6.85-inch 2K flat Samsung M14 AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
Camera capabilities set the phones apart, with the iQOO 15 and OnePlus 15 featuring triple camera setups with 50-megapixel lenses. OnePlus incorporates its new DetailMax imaging engine, while Realme introduces its collaboration with Ricoh, offering a 200-megapixel telephoto lens in the GT 8 Pro, surpassing the 50-megapixel units in the iQOO and OnePlus devices.
Battery capacity has significantly increased across all flagship devices this year. The iQOO 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro both house 7,000mAh batteries, with the iQOO supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and the Realme offering 120W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds. In contrast, the OnePlus 15 boasts the largest battery at 7,300mAh and supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Regarding pricing, the iQOO 15, OnePlus 15, and Realme GT 8 Pro all start at Rs 72,999 for the base 12GB/256GB variant, although each device may come with different bank offers.
