An incident of disruptive behavior unfolded on a recent Akasa Air flight traveling from Bengaluru to Delhi on Diwali, October 20. According to reports, a passenger began behaving unruly, prompting the flight crew to intervene and physically restrain the individual.
The disruptive episode took place aboard flight QP 1599, which is operated by Akasa Air. Officials from the airline confirmed that the crew followed standard operating procedures (SOP) to safeguard the well-being of other passengers and the aircraft.
A spokesperson from Akasa Air acknowledged the incident, stating, “On October 20, 2025, an incident of unruly conduct involving a passenger occurred on Akasa Air flight QP 1599 en route from Bengaluru to Delhi. Our crew effectively managed the situation, adhering to safety protocols as per our policies to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.”
Authorities have indicated that appropriate measures will be taken against the passenger in line with airline and aviation regulations.
