A man reportedly stabbed his gay partner in the genitals after catching him sexually assaulting his six-year-old daughter in their rented home in Uttar Pradesh. The father and his partner had been cohabiting as a couple following the father’s separation from the girl’s mother due to his sexual orientation.
The incident occurred on a Tuesday night in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, where the two men resided and worked together. The father heard his daughter crying and upon investigating, discovered his partner, identified as Ram Babu Yadav, in the act of assaulting the child. Enraged, the father then stabbed Yadav multiple times in the genitals.
Upon receiving the father’s complaint, the police intervened and apprehended Ram Babu Yadav, providing him with medical treatment under their supervision. The survivor was also taken for a medical examination as part of the investigative process.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Singh stated, “The complainant reported the rape of his minor daughter to the police station. Immediate action was taken by the Khukhundu police, who arrested the accused and initiated legal proceedings based on the father’s complaint.”
Authorities confirmed that Yadav, a laborer, and the father, a local orchestra dancer, had been in a long-standing relationship and were residing together as a couple. The child’s mother and father had separated due to the father’s homosexual relationship, leading the girl to live with her father.
The police revealed that Yadav acknowledged the homosexual relationship between the two individuals. Legal action against Yadav has been initiated based on the father’s complaint, with ongoing investigations and medical examinations for both parties. The community has expressed shock over the incident, raising concerns about child safety in non-traditional family settings.
Officials emphasized that the inquiry is ongoing, with further legal actions pending based on medical reports and investigative outcomes.
