Despite taking the lead with Casemiro’s header, United saw their advantage slip away as Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona scored quick goals for Forest. Diallo’s powerful strike leveled the score in the closing stages of the game.
United showcased dominance early on, with Benjamin Sesko missing a couple of chances to put them ahead. Casemiro eventually broke the deadlock with a header off a Bruno Fernandes corner. Forest fans disputed the awarding of the corner but United took the lead.
Forest mounted a strong comeback in the second half, with Gibbs-White and Savona scoring in quick succession to turn the tables. United fought back, with Fernandes hitting the post before Diallo’s decisive volley brought them back into the game.
Despite a late surge by Diallo, Forest defended well to secure a draw under new manager Sean Dyche. The draw elevated Forest’s spirits, while United moved into fifth place in the league standings, narrowly ahead of Manchester City. However, it was a missed opportunity for United to secure a win.
