In an alarming incident during Diwali celebrations in Ahmedabad, a man was viciously assaulted by his wife, who poured scalding water on him and later threw acid, causing severe injuries. The victim, identified as Ronak, 33, a food delivery worker residing in Satellite, reported to the authorities that his wife had been engaging in frequent arguments with him over the past year. The situation escalated on Diwali morning despite his attempts to avoid conflict, leading his wife to unleash her fury.
According to a police official, the wife initially doused Ronak with boiling water while he was covered with a blanket. As he struggled to free himself and remove his clothes, she proceeded to throw acid on him, resulting in significant burns. Satellite police have responded by apprehending the perpetrator after the victim filed a complaint.
Ronak and his wife had been married for two years, with sources indicating that suspicions of infidelity on the wife’s part sparked numerous disputes over trivial issues. The couple previously resided in Vejalpur, where law enforcement had intervened to facilitate reconciliation, but tensions endured.
The victim is currently undergoing treatment for severe burn injuries, while authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this brutal Diwali assault.
