Uddhav Thackeray Slams Amit Shah, BJP as “Anaconda”

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray strongly criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah, comparing him to an “Anaconda” and “Abdali” at a party event in Worli. Thackeray accused the BJP of trying to take over Mumbai through political manipulation and land acquisition, promising to resist any such efforts.

During a gathering of party members, Thackeray spoke out against the BJP’s alleged land grabbing practices, likening them to an anaconda devouring everything in its path. He warned that the BJP’s ambitions to control Mumbai were akin to the historical figure Ahmad Shah Abdali’s invasion.

Thackeray also drew parallels between the alleged exploitation of Maharashtra and past events, mentioning Morarji Desai’s actions towards Maharashtrian protesters. He raised questions about dynastic politics, specifically highlighting the appointment of Amit Shah’s son to the BCCI and questioning the basis of his selection.

Addressing voter list discrepancies in Worli, Thackeray issued a warning to the Election Commission, stating that elections in Maharashtra would not proceed until the voter rolls were rectified. He challenged the BJP to engage in fair political battles instead of resorting to vote manipulation, emphasizing that Mumbai would not succumb to external pressures.

In a final call to action, Thackeray urged his political rivals to confront the opposition openly and not engage in vote theft tactics. He reiterated his stance that Mumbai would remain resilient against attempts by external forces to dominate its political and cultural landscape.
