Manchester United icon Roy Keane believes Liverpool is facing a crisis following their recent defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League. Liverpool suffered a 0-3 loss at the Etihad Stadium, marking their fifth defeat this season, surpassing last season’s total losses. The team has now lost seven out of their last ten matches across all competitions and currently sits in eighth place in the standings, trailing Arsenal by eight points. Keane criticized Liverpool’s performance, describing them as weak and expressing concern over their current form.
Keane also questioned the assessment of the second half by Liverpool’s manager, noting that City had already established a 2-0 lead by halftime. He criticized Liverpool’s decision-making during the match and highlighted the team’s lack of intensity and energy. Keane emphasized that Liverpool’s defensive lapses and subpar decision-making are contributing to their crisis. Liverpool is scheduled to face Nottingham Forest after the international break on November 22.
