“West Indies Clinch T20 Clean Sweep Against Bangladesh”

Roston Chase and Ackeem Auguste both scored quick half-centuries as the West Indies secured a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh with 19 balls to spare, completing a clean sweep of the Twenty20 series with a 3-0 win.

In the match, pacer Romario Shepherd took a T20 hat-trick, becoming the second West Indies bowler to achieve this feat after teammate Jason Holder. West Indies successfully chased down Bangladesh’s total of 151, finishing at 152-5 in 16.5 overs. Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan played an impressive innings, scoring 89 runs off 62 balls, including nine fours and four sixes.

Auguste reached his 50 off 25 balls, with five sixes, while Chase scored his 50 off 29 balls. The duo put on a partnership of 91 runs for the fourth wicket before both were dismissed by leg-spinner Rishad Hossain in quick succession, leaving West Indies needing just eight runs to win.

Shepherd’s exceptional performance included taking three wickets in two overs, with key dismissals of Nurul Hasan, Tanzid Hasan, and Shoriful Islam. Despite losing the ODI series 2-1, West Indies showed their dominance in the T20 series, winning the second match by 14 runs and the opener by 16 runs.

Bangladesh, opting to bat first after winning the toss, seemed on track for a competitive total before a collapse led by Holder, who took 2-32, restricted them to 151 all out. Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan had a promising partnership of 63 runs for the third wicket, but the hosts faltered in the latter overs.

The West Indies team, led by Rovman Powell and Gudakesh Motie, sealed the victory to end the series on a high note. The 3-0 series victory highlighted the West Indies’ strong performance in the T20 format against Bangladesh.
