“Trump Mistakenly Attributes Leadership Changes to India, Social Media Corrects Him”

President Trump mistakenly referred to India as a country with frequent changes in leadership, suggesting a new prime minister every year. However, social media quickly pointed out his error, noting that it was more fitting for Pakistan, a country known for its political instability.

During a press interaction at the White House, Trump claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured him that India would stop buying Russian oil, praising Modi as a great leader. He then made a confusing statement about India having new leaders every year, while acknowledging Modi’s long tenure.

In reality, India has had the same prime minister since 2014, with Manmohan Singh serving before that. Pakistan, on the other hand, has seen numerous prime ministers come and go, with frequent changes due to various reasons like corruption charges, military coups, and resignations.

Trump’s remarks have raised questions about his mental acuity, as he has previously made similar mix-ups, such as confusing Iran with India and Armenia with Albania. Psychologists have speculated about potential signs of cognitive decline, though the White House has denied any memory loss in the President.
