“South Africa Unveils Squad for India Tests”

South Africa has unveiled their team for the upcoming two-Test series against India, with Temba Bavuma returning as captain after recovering from a left calf strain that kept him out of the recent Pakistan series. The Proteas will rely on their core group of players who showed resilience in the Pakistan series, bouncing back to level the series 1-1 after an initial loss in Lahore.

To prepare for the India series, Bavuma will participate in South Africa A’s four-day game against India A at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru from October 30 to November 9. This warm-up match aims to help the players adjust to Indian conditions before the Test matches.

One of the players to watch in the squad is young middle-order batsman Dewald Brevis, known for his explosive batting in the IPL. Another key inclusion is veteran spinner Simon Harmer, who brings experience and success in Indian conditions from previous tours.

The first Test is set to commence on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, followed by the second Test at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati starting on November 22. South Africa, led by Bavuma, will seek to continue their red-ball form, while India will aim to dominate on home turf in what promises to be an exciting series.

The full squad for the India Tests includes Temba Bavuma (C), Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi, Zubayr Hamza, Simon Harmer, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, and Kyle Verreynne.
