“Rockstar Games to Bring Red Dead Redemption to Smartphones & Current-Gen Consoles”

GTA VI’s release date has been pushed back to November 2026, but Rockstar Games has exciting news for fans. The company revealed plans to bring Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare to smartphones and current-gen consoles. This move aims to broaden the reach of these popular titles to a wider audience, offering players the chance to delve into John Marston’s captivating narrative and the chilling undead world of Undead Nightmare.

Rockstar Games recently announced a collaboration with Netflix to introduce Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare to Android and iOS platforms. Subscribers of Netflix on these mobile devices will have access to both games for free, featuring user-friendly controls optimized for mobile gameplay while delivering a console-like gaming experience. This strategic partnership allows Rockstar Games to tap into the vast market of smartphone users eager for immersive gaming experiences.

Both games will come with the complete single-player content and additional features from the Game of the Year Edition. Following the storyline of Red Dead Redemption 2, players will follow John Marston’s journey to confront his tumultuous past, while Undead Nightmare presents a thrilling survival experience against a zombie outbreak. These enhancements ensure that both loyal fans and newcomers can enjoy the extensive content previously limited to older gaming systems.

In another exciting development, Rockstar Games is set to launch Red Dead Redemption on the latest consoles including the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. Players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S can expect enhanced features such as 4K resolutions, HDR support, and smooth gameplay at 60 frames per second. On the other hand, Nintendo Switch 2 users will benefit from features like DLSS and mouse controls for an enriched gaming experience.

Rockstar is offering free digital upgrades to owners of the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or digital Xbox One versions of the game. Players on PS4 can seamlessly transfer their saved data to continue playing on the PS5, while Nintendo Switch 2 users can also pick up where they left off on their previous console. The collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games ensures the development of these new versions, which will be included in the GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue, expanding accessibility to subscription-based audiences on consoles.

The highly anticipated launch of Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare on Android, iOS, and current-gen consoles is scheduled for December 2, marking a significant milestone for fans of these beloved titles.
