India’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, faced an injury scare during the third day of the second official Test against South Africa A. Pant had to retire hurt in the first session after being hit on the left arm and near the groin by Tshepo Moreki’s deliveries. Despite the setback, Pant returned to bat in the third session after receiving medical attention and being replaced temporarily by Dhruv Jurel. He also showcased his agility behind the stumps, taking four catches.
Impressed by his performance, Rishabh Pant earned a spot in India’s Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against South Africa, commencing on November 14 in Kolkata. The squad includes players like Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant (WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, and others.
