A viral video capturing a gunman attacking Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada, for the third time has caused alarm. The footage, filmed on Thursday, shows the assailant firing multiple shots from a moving vehicle at the recently reopened cafe, causing the windows to shatter. Staff and customers were seen seeking shelter during the incident.
The attack was swiftly claimed by affiliates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Kulveer Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon took responsibility for the shooting in a social media post, emphasizing that they harbor no ill will towards the public. The post warned individuals who owe them money or disrespect their religion, including Bollywood figures critical of their beliefs.
Authorities are investigating the motives behind the attack, citing references to unpaid debts and perceived religious insults in the post. This incident follows two previous assaults on the cafe in July and August 2025, where windows were damaged, prompting temporary closures and raising concerns about Sharma’s safety.
