“Samsung Drops S26 Edge, Leaks S26 Plus Design”

Samsung has decided to drop the ultra-slim S26 Edge model from the Galaxy S26 series due to poor sales. Instead, they will keep the Plus variant. Alleged official renders of the Galaxy S26 Plus have been leaked by AndroidHeadlines.

The renders showcase the device’s design, resembling the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus but with noticeable modifications. The Galaxy S26 Plus will feature a single camera module housing all three lenses in one unit, unlike separate camera cutouts. Additionally, it will have more rounded corners compared to its predecessors.

The device will sport a flat AMOLED panel with minimal bezels, boasting a 6.7-inch display size. The frame will be flat with slight curvature along the edges to enhance grip comfort.

Rendered in white and a vibrant orange shade reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro, the colors are merely representational, with official color options likely to vary.

Expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may also offer devices with the Exynos 2600 SoC in certain regions. The lineup, including the S26 Plus, S26, and S26 Ultra, will feature enhanced camera modules and improved AMOLED displays for enhanced visual clarity.

Rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra might include a privacy screen feature. Battery capacities are anticipated to see upgrades, with the base Galaxy S26 expected to have a 4,300mAh battery, while the S26 Plus and S26 Ultra are likely to sport 4,900mAh and 5,400mAh battery capacities, respectively.

The devices are expected to incorporate more AI capabilities and camera enhancements, though reports on the Galaxy S26 cameras are conflicting.

The launch of the Galaxy S26 series has been postponed to February 25, 2026, reportedly due to the cancellation of the S26 Edge model. Pricing details for the series are yet to be disclosed, with speculation that Samsung may maintain prices similar to the previous year. Last year, the Galaxy S25 was released in India at Rs 80,999.
