A man accused of molesting a woman in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, received multiple slaps from her after she pursued him on a scooter and halted him in the market. The incident, captured in a viral video on social media, shows the woman confronting the man for allegedly molesting her while intoxicated. The confrontation took place near Jayanti Market on Thursday. Initially passive, the woman became furious when the man persisted in making inappropriate comments towards her, prompting her to chase him on her scooter. She managed to intercept the man in the market, where she halted his bike and confronted him.
In the video footage, the woman is seen repeatedly slapping the man and challenging him not to repeat his offensive behavior. A crowd gathered around them as she condemned his actions and urged him to treat women with respect, just as he would his own mother and sister.
Subsequently, bystanders intervened, calming the woman and escorting the man away. In a related incident from the previous month, a 54-year-old man, arrested for allegedly molesting a minor in Thane district, Maharashtra, was subjected to slipper beatings by the victim and her mother. The girl reported the man’s misconduct to the police after he harassed her. Similarly, in a July episode in Hooghly district, West Bengal, a man accused of molestation was physically assaulted and shamed by locals. The man reportedly attempted to molest a woman at a ticket counter, leading to his apprehension by vigilant residents who humiliated him by pouring rotten eggs over his head, smearing cow dung on his face, and adorning him with a garland of shoes before turning him over to the authorities.
