Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has concluded his time in Australia and is now on his way back to India following a successful performance in the ODI series. Returning to international cricket after a hiatus since the Champions Trophy earlier this year, Rohit showcased his skills by scoring a century and a half-century in the three matches, contributing to India’s victory in the final game.
Wrapping up his Australian tour, Rohit was named the Player of the Series after amassing 202 runs across the three matches at an impressive average of 101. He shared his departure on Instagram, bidding farewell with the caption, “One last time, signing off from Sydney.”
During his cricket journey in Australia, Rohit played a total of 33 matches, accumulating 1530 runs at an average of 56.66. His remarkable performance included six centuries and five half-centuries. The highlight of his farewell in Sydney was a match-winning unbeaten 121 runs to lead India to a nine-wicket triumph.
Expressing his sentiments post-game, Rohit expressed his enjoyment of playing cricket in Australia and emphasized the significance of concluding with a victory. Looking ahead, both Rohit and Virat Kohli are set to participate in the ODI series against South Africa, aiming to feature in domestic cricket events like the Vijay Hazare Trophy as they strive for selection in the 2027 ODI World Cup squad.
