Foreign direct investments (FDI) in India surged by 18% to reach USD 35.18 billion in the April-September period of the current fiscal year, with the United States contributing over USD 6.62 billion, more than doubling its inflow compared to the same period last year. In the previous year’s April-September timeframe, foreign investments totaled USD 29.79 billion.
Notably, during the June-September quarter of 2025-26, there was a substantial year-on-year increase of over 21% in FDI inflows, amounting to USD 16.54 billion.
