“President Trump and First Lady Host White House Halloween Bash”

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the yearly Halloween celebration at the White House on Thursday. The event took place on the South Lawn, where families and children in costumes gathered for a night filled with treats, music, and fall-themed activities.

President Trump opted not to wear a costume this year and appeared in his typical dark suit paired with a bright red “USA” cap. Melania was elegantly dressed in a beige coat. The First Couple welcomed a continuous flow of costumed children, handing out candy as part of the well-established White House tradition.

The US Air Force Strolling Strings provided entertainment by playing a mix of classic Halloween songs and popular tunes. The South Lawn was adorned with pumpkins, apples, and themed decorations, creating a festive atmosphere that combined elegance with community camaraderie.

The event was a collaboration with the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), which supplied 7,500 apples from Washington and New York for the guests. After the celebration, the pumpkins used for decoration were set to be donated to DC Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that supports local food initiatives.

Several federal agencies participated in the festivities. The US Postal Service distributed toy mail trucks and helped children create postcards, while the US Department of Agriculture offered photo opportunities with a large pumpkin and gave out mini pumpkins grown on American farms. The National Confectioners Association ensured the Halloween spirit was alive by providing a plethora of sweets for the young attendees.

Prior to the event, Melania Trump shared glimpses of the White House’s autumn decor on social media, featuring faux leaves, glowing pumpkins, and an orange “Halloween 2025” sign.

Among the guests was White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who brought her one-year-old son, Niko, dressed charmingly as a jack-o’-lantern. The festivities commenced around 4 pm, shortly after President Trump’s return from his trip to Asia. The South Lawn was filled with families of military personnel, law enforcement officers, foster and adoptive families, and administration officials, creating a joyous and spirited atmosphere.

While the official White House schedule for Halloween Day, October 31, has not been released, flight restrictions in Palm Beach, Florida, suggest that President Trump may be heading to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend.
