An individual of Indian descent tragically passed away after an altercation when he confronted a stranger who was urinating on his car in downtown Edmonton, Canada. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) responded to a report of an assault near 109 Street and 100 Avenue, where they discovered a 55-year-old man unconscious with severe injuries. The victim, identified as Arvi Singh Sagoo, was swiftly taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries five days later.
The incident took place on October 19, with the suspect, Kyle Papin, aged 40, being apprehended and charged with aggravated assault by the authorities. Sagoo and his partner were on their way back from dinner and heading towards their vehicle when they noticed the stranger urinating on their car. Upon questioning the individual, Sagoo was viciously attacked, as per Global News.
The EPS Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into the matter, and further charges are anticipated in the ongoing case. Law enforcement clarified that there was no prior acquaintance between the assailant and the victim. Papin is scheduled for his next court appearance on November 4.
