Paytm, India’s leading mobile payments and financial services provider, has unveiled a new version of its app featuring a revamped design and enhanced privacy tools to empower users with full control over their payment activities. The updated app maintains Paytm’s core values of trust, transparency, and user-friendliness while incorporating advanced AI technologies to streamline daily transactions, making them faster and more secure.
In line with its commitment to being the safest UPI app in India, Paytm has implemented a new security measure that blocks screen recording during UPI transactions, safeguarding users against potential fraudulent activities. Moreover, the app now includes alerts to warn users about potential phone-based scams or impersonation fraud while making payments over the phone.
To enhance user privacy and control, the app introduces a unique feature called Hide Payments, enabling users to conceal specific transactions from their payment history. Additionally, users can now create Personalised UPI IDs to simplify payments while keeping their mobile numbers confidential.
The updated app also incorporates AI-powered features to revolutionize financial management. The Monthly Spend Summary feature automatically categorizes expenses into shopping, bills, travel, and utilities, providing users with a comprehensive breakdown for easier budgeting. Paytm Playback, another exclusive feature, transforms recent spending patterns into personalized rap songs, making financial awareness both interactive and entertaining.

Quick access features like the Receive Money widget and Scan and Pay widget have been added to enable users to conveniently receive money or access their payment page directly from their homescreen.
Additional features such as Magic Paste, Favourite Contacts, and Payment Reminders have been included to help users manage their everyday transactions effectively. Alongside the app upgrade, Paytm has also launched Paytm Checkin, an AI-powered travel app offering comprehensive management of flights, trains, and buses.
