Tensions escalated in Dadri, Greater Noida, as villagers protested outside the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) office following the tragic death of a 15-year-old boy. The boy, Rajat Bhati from Nagla village in Hapur, fell ill suddenly on October 4, complaining of a high fever. Rushed to a private clinic in the Jarchha police station area, he received two injections and reportedly turned blue immediately after. Despite being taken to another hospital, Rajat was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Allegations arose against the clinic, accusing the doctor of administering injections that led to the boy’s worsening condition and eventual demise. The family, dissatisfied with the response received, approached the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to file a complaint. This dissatisfaction led to villagers gathering in Dadri, demanding the clinic’s closure and legal action against the doctor.
Authorities confirmed receiving a formal complaint and assured an ongoing investigation. Notably, the clinic operator allegedly closed the clinic and fled after the incident. To address the situation, the CMO established a committee of three doctors to probe the circumstances surrounding Rajat’s death and provide recommendations for further steps.
Local residents expressed their dismay over the perceived negligence that resulted in a tragic loss of life. The peaceful protest at the ACP office was facilitated by police, who ensured grievances were documented. The community now awaits the outcomes of both the police inquiry and the committee’s report, seeking justice in the aftermath of the incident.
