“Venezuelan Leader Acknowledges Trump’s Support”

Donald Trump did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025, but he was acknowledged by Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who was awarded the prestigious honor. Machado commended Trump for supporting the Venezuelan people in their struggle against President Nicolas Maduro. Trump endorsed Machado’s sentiments by sharing her post on his Truth Social platform.

Machado expressed gratitude to President Trump and other allies for their support in achieving freedom and democracy for Venezuela. She dedicated the prize to the suffering Venezuelan population and acknowledged Trump’s unwavering backing of their cause.

The White House criticized the Nobel Committee for choosing Machado over Trump, accusing them of prioritizing politics over peace. Machado was recognized for her consistent advocacy for democratic rights and her efforts towards a peaceful transition in Venezuela.

Despite missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump’s stance against Maduro and his actions in Venezuela have not been negatively impacted by Machado’s win. Trump’s strong stance against Maduro, including halting diplomatic efforts and increasing rewards for Maduro’s capture, has garnered praise from Machado.

Machado, known as Venezuela’s Iron Lady, has been a key figure in the pro-democracy movement, facing threats, arrests, and political persecution. She was also listed in Time Magazine’s ‘The 100 Most Influential People of 2025’ for her commitment to democracy and peace.

The Nobel Committee hailed Machado as a brave advocate for peace who continues to uphold democracy in challenging times. Trump’s administration views Maduro as a criminal and a fugitive of American justice, further aligning with Machado’s efforts for regime change in Venezuela.
