“OnePlus 15 Global Unveiling Set for Nov 13”

The upcoming OnePlus 15 is set to be unveiled globally on November 13, following its initial launch in China at the end of this month. Speculations suggest that this time around, the launch event might not be divided between China and other markets, hinting at a possible simultaneous worldwide debut for OnePlus’s next flagship device.

While official confirmation from OnePlus has only revealed the utilization of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in the upcoming phone, a leak on Weibo has provided additional insights into the display, battery, chipset, and design aspects. As always, it is advisable to approach these leaks with caution until the official announcement.

Leaked promotional images indicate that the OnePlus 15 is expected to retain the design essence of its predecessors, the OnePlus 13 series, with subtle enhancements. The camera module appears to feature a revamped layout, offering a more refined overall appearance. Reports suggest the introduction of a new off-white color variant with a brownish metallic accent, alongside anticipated shades of purple, titanium, and black.

According to leaks, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to flaunt a 6.78-inch BOE X3 AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and LTPO technology, facilitating a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 165Hz. The display is anticipated to support Dolby Vision and Pro XDR, boasting a peak brightness of 1,800nits for an immersive viewing experience under various lighting conditions.

Internally, the phone is expected to house the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Multiple configurations are speculated, offering 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options up to 1TB. OnePlus may also integrate its Wind Chi Game Kernel 2.0 for enhanced gaming performance and thermal management.

On the camera front, leaks suggest a triple 50-megapixel camera setup, potentially featuring a Sony LYT-700 sensor with OIS for the main lens and two Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensors for the ultrawide and telephoto lenses. While impressive, these details are solely based on leaks and await official confirmation from OnePlus.

Noteworthy features of the OnePlus 15 may include a substantial 7,300mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, promising extended usage durations. Additionally, the phone may offer dual stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and advanced cooling mechanisms for optimal performance.

Regarding pricing and availability in India, OnePlus has a history of introducing new flagships with price increments. Past models like the OnePlus 11, 12, and 13 were priced at Rs 56,999, Rs 64,999, and Rs 69,999 respectively. The OnePlus 15 could potentially surpass the Rs 70,000 mark, although the company may opt to maintain existing pricing strategies to attract consumers.
