“iQOO 15 Unveiled: Premium Flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5”

iQOO 15 has been unveiled in China, marking its debut as one of the initial premium flagship smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The device boasts a high-quality 144Hz AMOLED display sourced from Samsung and a robust 7,000mAh battery. iQOO has reintroduced wireless charging with the iQOO 15, supporting speeds of up to 40W, along with even faster wired charging at up to 100W. Notably, the iQOO 15 is the first iQOO model to come pre-installed with Vivo’s new OriginOS 6 software, hinting at a global launch with this operating system instead of the usual Funtouch OS.

Confirming its arrival in India, iQOO 15 is set to be released in the country in the upcoming weeks, with specific details yet to be disclosed. Nipun Marya, iQOO’s India CEO, emphasized the brand’s focus on performance and its partnership with Qualcomm to deliver top-tier products to consumers. The iQOO 15 is set to elevate the performance standards in the Indian smartphone market by being one of the first premium flagships to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

The iQOO 15 will be offered in multiple configurations in India, including 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB variants. The expected prices for these models range from approximately Rs 52,000 to Rs 68,000, with color options like legendary, track, lingyun, and wilderness.

While the exact pricing for the Indian market is yet to be revealed, the predecessor model, iQOO 13, was launched at Rs 54,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant, suggesting a similar price range for the iQOO 15.

Key specifications of the iQOO 15 include a 6.85-inch 1440p or 2K flat Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM options of 12GB and 16GB, UFS 4.1 storage in 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB capacities, and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The device also features a 32-megapixel front camera and a rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

Furthermore, the iQOO 15 is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, dual speakers, a 14,000mm vapor chamber, and RGB lighting around the camera module.
