An elderly female tourist from the United States passed away following a sudden illness while traveling by train from Bharatpur to Ranthambore in Rajasthan. The 85-year-old tourist, known as Noel, was part of a group of approximately 25 American tourists exploring India. They had journeyed from Agra to Bharatpur by bus and were en route to Ranthambore by train. Unfortunately, upon reaching Bharatpur railway station, Noel experienced severe chest pain and collapsed.
She was swiftly transported to the RBM District Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her dead upon arrival. Initial indications point to a possible heart attack as the cause of her demise. The body is currently housed in the hospital morgue, awaiting a post-mortem examination scheduled for Friday to determine the precise cause of death.
Mukesh Meena, overseeing the police outpost at RBM Hospital, stated, “We were informed of the death of a foreign woman. Upon investigation, it was revealed that she fell ill at Bharatpur railway station and was brought here for medical care, where she tragically passed away. The railway police have been notified, and necessary legal protocols are being adhered to.”
Authorities have informed the deceased woman’s relatives and relevant agencies. The tourist group, which had previously visited Fatehpur Sikri, was en route to Ranthambore when the unfortunate incident transpired.
