The teaser of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraan is all set to be launched in a grand event in Kochi. Prithviraj Sukumaran announced on his Instagram that the teaser will be launched on January 26, 2025 in Kochi, at 6 pm. The makers submitted the teaser to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of the grand event.
On January 24, Prithviraj Sukumaran officially invited everyone to celebrate 25 years of Aashirvad Cinemas (production house) and the launch of L2: Empuraan teaser.
The poster read, “Celebrating the 25th year of Aashirvad Cinemas. We invite you to witness the first glimpse of our most ambitious project! A collaboration with Lyca Productions, marking their grand entry into the illustrious Malayalam film industry (sic).”

The Central Board of Film Certification certified the L2: Empuraan teaser on January 22. Going by the censor report, the teaser is two-minutes-22-seconds-long with a U/A certificate.
L2: Empuraan is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and a sequel to the actor-director’s Lucifer, starring Mohanlal. The director had earlier announced that Empuraan is the second part of the trilogy. Jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, the film will hit theatres on March 27.
