Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup is widely acclaimed as one of the top Android flagship series. With the upcoming release of the Galaxy S26 series in 2026, Samsung is set to continue its tradition of incorporating cutting-edge features. Recent reports have hinted at potential changes in design and the absence of the Galaxy S26 Edge model.
Leaked renders from the One UI 8.5 test firmware suggest that the S26 series will feature vertically aligned cameras with a raised island, while the S26 Ultra may sport slightly rounded corners for improved ergonomics. This design shift is inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold 7, aiming to create a cohesive aesthetic across Samsung’s flagship range.
Contrary to previous models with distinct camera cutouts, the S26 series is expected to introduce a more unified design language. Alleged wallpapers indicate color options such as black, white, silver, and purple for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC in certain markets, with others receiving the Exynos 2600 chipset. These chipsets promise significant performance enhancements compared to their predecessors. Samsung is also anticipated to enhance display quality by incorporating its latest M14 AMOLED panels, offering brighter screens and improved color accuracy. Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, showcasing its AI focus. Pricing details are yet to be confirmed, but they may align with the Galaxy S25 series, which started at Rs 80,999 for the base model. The S25 Plus and Ultra variants were priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999, respectively.
