“Google Unveils Gemini 3 Deep Think for Advanced AI Reasoning”

Google has once again enhanced its artificial intelligence capabilities with the introduction of Gemini 3 Deep Think. This advanced reasoning mode is now accessible to Google AI Ultra subscribers through the Gemini app. The feature, unveiled recently, signifies a significant advancement in Google’s efforts to empower AI to handle intricate analytical tasks that typically require high-level human problem-solving skills.

Deep Think, described as the most sophisticated reasoning mode developed by Google, excels in domains like mathematics, logic, and science by providing more comprehensive and structured responses to complex inquiries. It represents a groundbreaking achievement within the Gemini ecosystem, catering to researchers, professionals, and individuals seeking an AI solution capable of thorough deliberation.

Google asserts that Gemini 3 Deep Think has the capacity to process multiple lines of reasoning concurrently, enabling it to explore various potential solutions before determining the most precise or logical one. Through this parallel-processing approach, Deep Think gains a significant advantage over previous versions, especially in addressing multi-step problems that require accuracy and context retention.

In performance evaluations, Gemini 3 Deep Think has outperformed previous AI systems. Notably, it achieved a score of 41.0% on the challenging “Humanity’s Last Exam” benchmark and 45.1% on ARC-AGI-2 when combined with code execution capabilities — a feat Google describes as an unprecedented milestone in automated logical reasoning.

A blog post by Google highlighted that Gemini 3 Deep Think is the most proficient reasoning system developed by the company to date. Its success builds upon the groundwork laid by Gemini 2.5 Deep Think, which garnered attention earlier this year for matching human-level results in prestigious competitions such as the International Mathematical Olympiad and the ICPC World Finals.

Google’s objective is to move beyond chat-based AI systems towards models capable of addressing real-world scientific and analytical challenges — systems that not only provide answers but also offer explanations for their reasoning.

Gemini 3 Deep Think is now live for Ultra-tier subscribers to access through the Gemini app. Users can activate the feature by selecting the “Deep Think” option in the prompt bar and opting for the Gemini 3 Pro model. The mode seamlessly functions across devices, allowing users to test its advanced reasoning capabilities on both simple and highly technical queries.

Google’s official Gemini account on X (formerly Twitter) announced the rollout of Gemini 3 Deep Think, emphasizing its ability to explore multiple hypotheses simultaneously for more sophisticated outputs.

This release underscores Google’s commitment to advancing AI reasoning capabilities amidst heightened competition in the field. With the addition of Deep Think to the Gemini 3 system, Google aims to provide an intelligent co-pilot for researchers, developers, and students grappling with complex logic problems or computationally intensive tasks.

Industry analysts interpret this update as a strategic move by Google to reaffirm its leadership in AI innovation, particularly in the realm of reasoning-based systems. With Deep Think, Google is positioning itself to lead the future of AI towards structured, genuine thought processes, beyond mere text or image generation.
