Gujarat’s Junagadh police have apprehended an individual for allegedly strangling his spouse after recurring disputes regarding his extramarital relationship. The incident occurred in Sardarpur village and involved a couple from Madhya Pradesh employed as agricultural workers on the village outskirts.
The suspect, identified as Nania Saste, was frequently at odds with his wife, Niyati, over his involvement with another woman. Reportedly, he made the decision to abandon his wife in favor of his paramour.
The confrontation transpired on the evening of October 18 at approximately 8 pm when Nania Saste purportedly had a heated argument with Niyati at the farm, resulting in her tragic demise due to strangulation.
Following the crime, Nania Saste allegedly enlisted the help of his associate, Jenu Solanki, with a history of criminal activities in Madhya Pradesh, to eliminate evidence. Subsequently, both individuals were apprehended.
Both suspects have been detained and brought before the court as the police continue their investigation into the matter.
