“Railway Minister Cracks Down on False Video Sharers”

Strict measures are being taken against individuals who share false videos targeting the railway system on social media, as stated by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw following an assessment of crowd control efforts at Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi. Vaishnaw urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation through fake videos to prevent confusion among travelers. The minister conducted an unannounced inspection at Anand Vihar station to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers during the festive period.

During the visit, Vaishnaw examined the station’s holding area and engaged directly with passengers to gather feedback on cleanliness and provided amenities. The railway ministry press release highlighted the extensive preparations made by the railways to minimize passenger inconvenience despite the high volume of travelers. Emphasizing passenger well-being and security, Vaishnaw emphasized that severe actions are being taken against those disseminating false railway-related content on social platforms, urging compliance from the public.

The inspection was attended by Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, Ashok Kumar Verma, General Manager of Northern Railway, and other senior railway officials. Vaishnaw had previously inspected the newly constructed holding area at New Delhi station, discussing safety and amenities with passengers.
