The proposed structure, informally dubbed the “Arc de Trump,” is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The massive arch is planned to be constructed near the Lincoln Memorial on the Arlington, Virginia side of the Memorial Bridge. Trump aims to have it completed in time for the upcoming 250th anniversary celebration of the United States. While the cost of the project remains undisclosed, Trump hinted at utilizing excess funds from a $250 million campaign for a new White House ballroom to finance the construction. Trump has already initiated beautification efforts in Washington, such as renovating the Rose Garden and enhancing public spaces.
