“Trump Unveils ‘Arc de Trump’ Model for DC Landmark”

US President Donald Trump, known for his grand vision, unveiled a model of his potential next project in Washington, D.C. during a White House dinner with wealthy donors. The proposed structure, informally dubbed the “Arc de Trump,” is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Trump expressed his excitement about the project, envisioning it as a beautiful and fantastic addition to the nation’s capital.

The massive arch is planned to be constructed near the Lincoln Memorial on the Arlington, Virginia side of the Memorial Bridge. Trump aims to have it completed in time for the upcoming 250th anniversary celebration of the United States. The President views the arch as a representation of America’s strength, pride, and enduring greatness.

While the cost of the project remains undisclosed, Trump hinted at utilizing excess funds from a $250 million campaign for a new White House ballroom to finance the construction. The President assured guests at the dinner that the project’s financial aspect was secured, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing Washington’s infrastructure.

Trump has already initiated beautification efforts in Washington, such as renovating the Rose Garden and enhancing public spaces. If approved, the “Arc de Trump” will become a prominent addition to the city’s iconic memorials, although it must undergo review by the National Capital Planning Commission as required by federal law.

The design of the arch, reportedly crafted by Harrison Design, bears a striking resemblance to the Arc de Triomphe and features a statue of Lady Liberty atop it, symbolizing freedom and resilience. Trump’s inspiration for the project may have stemmed from his visit to France in 2017, where he witnessed a Bastille Day parade. This experience, coupled with his desire for a US military parade, may have influenced the creation of this monumental arch.
