“Australia’s Healy Update for Women’s World Cup Clash”

Australian cricketer Tahlia McGrath gave an update on the status of Alyssa Healy for the upcoming Women’s World Cup match against South Africa on October 25 at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Healy had sat out the previous game against England due to a minor calf injury sustained during training on October 19.

In Healy’s absence, McGrath took over her position, and Georgia Voll was included in the playing XI. McGrath confirmed that Healy had resumed training on Friday, but Australia was yet to make a final decision on her participation in the match.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, McGrath mentioned, “Midge is at training today. We haven’t finalized the playing eleven yet, as she’s still a bit of a day-by-day case. We’ll see how that pans out.”

Although Australia remains undefeated and has secured a spot in the semifinals, they faced challenges in their match against England. Despite being 24 for three initially, they managed to secure a victory with Ash Gardner scoring 104 and Annabel Sutherland contributing 98 runs.

McGrath acknowledged that Australia has areas for improvement but highlighted their ability to maintain a winning streak. She expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and their resilience in finding ways to clinch victories in the tournament.

The upcoming game on Saturday holds significant importance as it will determine the team that finishes at the top of the table, setting up a semi-final showdown against India.
