Oppo is making preparations to introduce the Reno 15 Mini as part of the upcoming launch of the Reno 15 series in India by the end of this year. Following the release of the Oppo Reno 14 series a few months ago, the company seems poised to enhance the lineup with the new Reno 15 devices.
Reports from 91Mobiles indicate that Oppo will unveil three models in the Reno 15 series, which include the Reno 15 Mini alongside the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro. Initially, expectations were for Oppo to introduce the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Max, with the base model designed to have a smaller form factor.
The Oppo Reno 15 Mini is anticipated to offer a more compact option within the series, featuring a smaller display compared to its counterparts. It is projected to sport a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen, while the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro are likely to come with 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch displays, respectively. All devices are expected to feature flat displays without curved edges and may include metal frames with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In terms of performance, the Reno 15 lineup is rumored to be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity processors, with leaks suggesting that the entire series could be powered by the Dimensity 8450 chipset. There are also speculations that the top-tier Reno 15 Pro might utilize the Dimensity 9400 SoC, while the Reno 15 is expected to house a sizable 6,000mAh battery.
The Oppo Reno series has been known for its impressive camera capabilities, and the trend is likely to continue with the Reno 15 lineup. Both the Oppo Reno 15 and 15 Mini are expected to feature similar camera setups, including a triple camera configuration on the rear consisting of a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP5 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The front cameras on these devices are expected to be 50-megapixel sensors, although details on the Reno 15 Pro’s cameras are scarce.
The launch of the Oppo Reno 15 series is anticipated in December, with pricing details yet to be fully revealed. However, it is expected that the prices will be comparable to those of the Reno 14 series, which was priced at Rs 39,999 for the Oppo Reno 14 and Rs 49,999 for the Oppo Reno 14 Pro.
