“EPS Asserts NDA Partnership Progress; Vijay’s TVK Denies Alliance”

Ahead of any official statement from actor-politician Vijay regarding a possible collaboration with the NDA, AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) asserted today that groundwork for the NDA partnership was already in progress. EPS, while campaigning, highlighted the waving of flags as a symbolic initiation, referring to it as the “sound of revolution.” He also directed a message to DMK leader MK Stalin, suggesting that this “sound” would have a significant impact.

Additionally, EPS emphasized the importance of alliances, stating that the AIADMK-led coalition would emerge more robust, and criticized Stalin for relying heavily on alliances. These statements followed the tragic incident of the Karur stampede, which resulted in the loss of 41 lives.

However, Vijay’s TVK quickly refuted the claims of an NDA alliance, clarifying that individuals waving TVK flags were not affiliated with the party but were AIADMK supporters. In a previous instance in May, AIADMK MLA Kadambur Raju hinted at the potential inclusion of TVK in the AIADMK-BJP alliance, emphasizing a shared objective of displacing the DMK from power. Raju mentioned that any confirmation of an alliance would be contingent on circumstances and might be announced next January.

Contrary to speculation, TVK firmly rejected reports of forming an alliance both in November and previously, labeling the claims as baseless and untrue. TVK General Secretary Bussy Anand urged the public to ignore such rumors and confirmed the party’s independent preparations for the 2026 Assembly elections.
